The body of artwork is inspired by a passion to combined a love for art and of history with its mythology, folklore and beliefs for the purpose of shining a light of a almost forgotten and overlooked pantheon which the Gaelic culture relied so heavily upon. The  work exposes the similarities between real features and aspects of characters and the mythical features we were raised being told. I strives to depict such mythical figures in a way that can be universally understood. The choice of not including a background in the drawings is done as a means to highlight the detail and realism put into the Illustration, allowing the finished product to stand out more.
